Problems We Fix

When the Paint Starts to Go, the Whole House Looks Tired

None of these are emergencies, but all of them cost more the longer they wait. Here is what we see most across Porter, Lake, and LaPorte Counties, and the service that takes care of it.

One lake-effect winter is enough. Scraped, primed, and recoated so it holds.

Ready for a Fresh Coat on Your Home or Business?

A fresh coat does more than improve curb appeal. It protects siding from lake effect winters, makes a dated room feel new, and tells your customers you take care of things. We walk you through colors, sheens, and timelines so you can decide with confidence, with no pressure and no surprises.

What Sets White Stone Painting Apart

Quality Craftsmanship. Reliable Service. Lasting Results.

The Right Paint, Installed the Right Way

Proper prep (scraping, sanding, patching, priming) and professional-grade paint are what make a finish last. We help you choose products that fit your home and budget.

We explain sheen, durability, and cost differences up front so you can decide with confidence. Compare our painting services.

Built for the Weather We Live With

Homes from the Lake Michigan shoreline to the south end of Lake County face lake-effect snow, ice, humid summers, and spring storms. We use exterior paints and deck stains made for these conditions.

Proven materials and correct application help prevent peeling, fading, and moisture damage. Exterior painting and deck staining are where this matters most.

Meet the Owner

Faith, hard work, and honesty painted into every home we touch.

White Stone Painting started in Valparaiso more than ten years ago with a simple idea: do the prep nobody sees, so the finish everybody sees holds up. We still give every estimate ourselves, we are on the job site every day, and we walk the finished work with you before anyone packs up.

It is a Christian-led company, and that shapes how we work: we show up when we say we will, do the job right when no one is watching, and tell you the truth even when it is not the easy answer. Your home is where your family lives and your business is how you provide, so we treat both with the care we would want for our own.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from Valparaiso and Northwest Indiana homeowners about painting costs, timelines, and prep. Do not see yours? Call us at (219) 628-3436 orsend a question online.

  • How much does it cost to paint a house in Valparaiso or Northwest Indiana?

It depends on square footage, surface condition, how much prep is needed, and the paint you choose. We visit the property, measure, and give you a written, itemized estimate so you know the full price before any work starts. There are no hidden fees and no pressure to decide on the spot.
  • How long does an interior or exterior painting project take?

Most single rooms take one to two days. A full interior repaint or a typical exterior usually runs three to five days depending on size, prep, and weather. Your estimate includes a specific timeline, and we tell you right away if anything changes.
  • Do I need to move furniture or clear the room before you arrive?

No. We move and cover furniture, protect floors and fixtures, and put everything back when the job is done. Clearing small items and valuables ahead of time is helpful but not required.
  • What paint do you use, and will it hold up to Indiana weather?

We use professional-grade coatings matched to the surface and the job. For exteriors and decks in Porter, Lake, and LaPorte Counties that means products made for lake-effect winters, humid summers, and freeze-thaw cycles. Happy to talk brands and sheens during your consultation.
  • Where does White Stone Painting work?

We are based in Valparaiso and serve all of Porter, Lake, and LaPorte Counties, including Chesterton, Portage, Crown Point, Merrillville, Hobart, Schererville, St. John, Munster, Highland, Dyer, Griffith, Cedar Lake, Hammond, Gary, Michigan City, and La Porte.
  • Do you paint commercial properties?

Yes. We handle offices, retail, restaurants, medical suites, and multi-unit buildings, and we can schedule after hours or on weekends so your business stays open.
  • Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. White Stone Painting is licensed and insured, and we are glad to share documentation before work begins.
  • Can you match a paint color that is already on my walls?

Usually, yes. If you still have the old can or a leftover label, that is the easiest way. If not, we can take a small chip from a spot nobody will see and have it matched. Older paint fades, so on a touch up we often recommend repainting the whole wall corner to corner so the color reads even.

  • Do I need to be home while you paint?

Not for most of the job. Many customers let us in the first morning and go about their day. We do ask that someone is there at the start to go over the plan with us and at the end for the final walkthrough. For exterior work, we only need access to water and outlets and a clear path around the house.

  • Will you fix drywall dings and damaged trim before painting?

Yes. Filling nail holes, patching dents and cracks, and caulking gaps in trim are part of our normal prep, not an add on. If we find something bigger at the estimate, like a water stain or soft wood around a window, we will point it out and include the repair in the written price so nothing comes up halfway through the job.
